South Sydney Captain Cameron Murray has praised his team’s efforts in last night’s win over Manly as they celebrated the career of a club legend John Sattler.

The Rabbitohs commemorated Sattler’s career with a Guard of Honour, a moment’s silence where the players gathered in a huddle together and an applause in the 13th minute of the match.

Murray who wore the club legend’s famous 13 jersey told The Continuous Call Team the John Sattler Tribute match was a special occasion.

“It was just a great night,” Murray said.

“There was a lot of hype during the week and a big reason to celebrate.

“So I’m just glad the boys were able to get the job done.”
