Can anyone explain what’s going on here?

Ray has received a rather bizarre image from a listener.

Tony: “Look what I found out the front of a unit block in Hurstville today.”

This isn’t a backyard smokehouse or drying cupboard or anything. This is on the verge out the front of a unit block.

They say pictures speak a thousand words… maybe not this one.

Ray has enlisted the help of his mate Raymond the Butcher to explain what kind of meat has made the makeshift clothesline home.

Raymond says it’s likely to be some pork belly or prosciutto undergoing a curing process.

When asked whether this is a conventional way to dry meat, the skilled butcher is pretty clear.

“I wouldn’t be doing that.”
