Holiday parks in Brisbane’s south-east are reporting record numbers of inquiries and bookings, predicting a bumper festive season after lockdowns and border closures.

Caravan parks are particularly popular, some only have a few available spots left between now and January.

General manager of Brisbane Holiday Village in Eight Mile Plains, Geoff Illich, said it was quite extraordinary.

“We have never, ever seen anything like this; bookings, enquiries, family, friends, overseas, it’s incredible,” he told Neil Breen.

He said all caravan parks were the same, full-up with bookings.
