Champion trainer Peter Snowden describes scaling The Everest… again
Winning The Everest trainer Peter Snowden says he wasn’t at all nervous watching his horse Redzel take home the prestigious race for a second consecutive year.
The gelding picked up a further $6 million for winning the world’s richest race on turf, taking his total earnings to more than $15 million.
Peter tells Alan Jones he was “quietly confident” they could go back-to-back.
“I wasn’t running, It was pretty easy for me.
“I wasn’t worried anywhere really.
“Once the gates opened he started to control the speed from about the 1000-metre mark onwards.”
