It’s been a chaotic final sitting fortnight in Canberra.

Health Minister Greg Hunt confirmed reports he would be standing down at the next election, just a day after former Attorney-General Christian Porter announced he was leaving politics.

Education Minister Alan Tudge has stood aside from the ministry over allegations levelled at him by a former staffer, who he had an extra-marital affair with.

He has denied the allegations.

Nine Radio’s federal political editor Michael Pachi said the past two weeks had been “crazy”.

“I have never seen an end to parliament this chaotic,” he said on 4BC Drive.

He said all up 16 federal MPs have “left on both side of the aisle”.

He was also about if Prime Minister Scott Morrison will call an early election.
