Kotoni Staggs got the call-up to play in the State of Origin for the first time, saying he had no words in response.

The Brisbane Broncos centre got the call on Saturday that he’ll live out a childhood dream.

“I wasn’t expecting it, it caught me off-guard but a happy phone call there, really emotional, I really didn’t have any words,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.

He called his family back home, and said there wasn’t much talking, but a lot of happy tears.
