Chinese astronauts return to Earth after six-month mission
Three Chinese astronauts have returned to Earth after six months aboard China’s space station.
The capsule landed in northern China after the trio undertook construction works on the final stage of the Tiangong space station.
Astrophysicist Brad Tucker told Laurel, Gary & Mark completing the space station is not all China’s ticked off the to-do list.
“They’ve rotated down their first batch of astronauts, up and down,” he said.
“Just like the International Space Station, they spend about six months in space doing things, and then they kind of rotate the crew up and down.
“It’s becoming not just busy, but showing just how many different groups and countries, and how many different things are happening in space.”
