Christmas Day pub lunches booking out in record numbers in Qld
Queenslanders are booking pub lunches for Christmas Day in record numbers this year.
It’s reported almost 95 per cent of venues have already booked out across the state.
Queensland Hotels Association boss Bernie Hogan told Bill McDonald eating out on Christmas Day means less stress for families.
“There’s been a trend of more and more people, let’s say, ‘outsourcing’ Christmas lunch,” he said.
“Everybody loves the idea of a big Christmas lunch and everything’s on with all the trimmings; it’s the clean-up afterwards that no one wants to talk about!”
