Cocaine Cassie to get married in “lavish” jail ceremony
Convicted Australian drug mule Cassie Sainsbury will marry her fiancé Scott Broadbridge in a Colombian jail next year.
The 22-year-old is serving six years for attempting to traffic 5.8 kilograms of cocaine out of South America.
The couple’s celebrity agent Max Markson is spruiking the ceremony, saying it will be “lavish” and “great exposure”.
Markson told Adelaide’s Advertiser he expects a who’s who of Australian designers to line up to create her dress.
2GB’s Mark Levy has slammed the publicity stunt, labelling it a disgrace.
“To Cassie Sainsbury, her fiancé Scott Broadbridge and their celebrity agent Max Markson who’s peddling this rubbish, once you’ve served the time for your crimes, maybe then I’ll listen to your rubbish.
“If you honestly think someone is going to make your bridal dress you need your heads read.
“Cassie Sainsbury will go down in the annals of history as a convicted drug smuggler, not a celebrity.
“Cocaine Cassie, you are nothing more than a criminal.”
