Australian women are increasingly avoiding men online who have right-wing values.

Bettina Arndt, online-dating coach and columnist, tells Chris Kenny women are avoiding men with alternative political views.

“I was really surprised how many of my female clients were so intolerant of conservative men.

“It really matters to women. They won’t go out with people who don’t fit their political views.”

Bettina says her male clients are much less concerned about their date’s political preferences.

“Women are also more likely to unfriend someone on Facebook because they’ve made a political comment they don’t like.”
