Contactless digital meters will take over by 2030
Energex workers will not enter your property if they see or hear a dog on your premises; customers are urged to lock up dogs or get a digital meter.
Energex Executive General Manager Michael Dart joined Neil Breen on 4BC Brisbane Live to explain what digital meters entail.
This follows the tragic death of 42-year-old meter reader Kane Minion after he was attacked on the job by a Bull Mastiff and a Rhodesian Ridgeback in Greenbank last year.
Mr Dart said Energex have a target to roll-out digital meters at 100% of properties by 2030.
