Cruise industry calling for link between Luggage Point and Brisbane CBD

The government has spent $177 million on a new cruise ship terminal at Pinkenba, causing an inconvenience for tourists.

The Luggage Point Cruise Terminal lacks a direct link to the Brisbane CBD, and is connected by a dirt road through an industrial zone.

Jim Kelly, Owner of Brisbane Cruises, told Peter Gleeson on 4BC Drive, that the connection from Luggage Point to the CBD was questioned.

“We look like real drongos when a cruise terminal turns up and you have to get on a bus to go a long way in or out instead of having it right beside the cruise ships,” Mr. Kelly said.
