Customers flock to Roger David following collapse of iconic retailer
Budget menswear chain Roger David could be saved from administration as customers give the brand a “second look”.
The 76-year-old retailer saw sales double in the past week as prices were slashed in a 50 per cent off sale.
The company went into administration last Thursday.
KordaMentha is managing the process and administrator Craig Shepherd tells Ross Greenwood customers are “disappointed to see the situation”.
“The response from, I guess our very loyal staff and customer base, has been phenomenal.
“The interaction with our loyal customers, they’ve been knocking down the doors and buying.”
Mr Shepherd says he’s “hopeful something may eventuate”.
“We’re hoping we might be able to find a deal over the next week or two.”
