Boxing legend Danny Green is calling on young Australians to heed the message as part of the Stop the Coward Punch Week.

The anti-violence campaigner has used his platform to lobby to end coward punches, saying in the past 10 years, it’s certainly had an impact.

But he said there needs to be reform across the country.

Neil Breen said the sentencing discrepancies for offenders who commit coward punches between the states was alarming.

“Kind of bizarre isn’t it, Neil?” Green agreed.

“To think you can live in a different state and do the same crime, and serve a lesser penalty, it’s bizarre.

“Do Queensland or South Australia or whichever state it might be, do they place a lesser price on a life?”
