A desperate search is continuing for a missing mother across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

61-year-old Wendy Sleeman reported an alleged break in at her Elanora home two days ago, but when police arrived she wasn’t there.

The court heard a large pool of blood was found on the bathroom floor of Ms Sleeman’s home along with marks.

Her son, 30-year-old son Slade Murdok, was yesterday charged with several domestic violence offences.

It’s believed she may have been travelling in a blue Honda Jazz with registration 952-AT4 with her son, which has not been found.

Police have released vision of around the time of the last reported sighting of the car, at Paradise Road and Kingston Road intersection in Logan Central at 5.50pm on Tuesday January 24.

The vehicle was then last sighted on Jean Street, Slacks Creek, at 5:52pm.

He faced court this morning where he was denied bail with a magistrate citing serious concerns for his mother’s whereabouts and safety.

A large scale search is being conducted in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Durack, Inala and Logan areas.

“Police have said that he is exercising his right to silence he is not cooperating with police at this stage, so he is remaining relatively tight-lipped,” 9 News reporter Lily Greer said.

Officers believe the blue Honda Jazz they were travelling in no longer has number plates.
