‘Disgraceful’: Plane with NRL families, officials arrives Queensland
Scott Emerson has hit out at the state government for allowing a chartered plane with NRL players’ families and officials to travel to Queensland, despite pausing hotel quarantine for 2 weeks.
The 4BC Drive host said it was a “disgraceful” decision.
“Queenslanders who want to desperately come home … they can’t come back at the moment.”
He said it was “one rule for some, another rule for others”.
They will have to undergo quarantine.
A statement to 4BC Drive from Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s office confirmed the report.
“A plane containing NRL staff and journalists among others has landed in Queensland,” the statement read.
“It is part of the NRL’s bubble with accommodation provided outside our hotel quarantine.
“No one has missed out because a sports team is in Queensland.”
