Does Anthony Albanese’s election strategy measure up? Breenie has his doubts

Anthony Albanese is expected to lay down his battlelines for the upcoming federal election at a major speech today.

The Opposition Leader will speak at a major economic summit in Sydney, following the Prime Minister’s appearance yesterday.

If voted in, he plans to follow in the footsteps of former Labor leaders Bob Hawke and Paul Keating.

Neil Breen is doubtful a raft of election promises will get Mr Albanese across the line.

“Do you think Albo can channel Bob Hawke and John Howard and make out that he’s not Bill Shorten?

“I’m not buying it because he’s not those two guys – he’s not a leader of their stature and he doesn’t have the runs on the board.

“He’s never done anything else in his life.”
