Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to healthy baby boy
The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a son at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital in London.
Prince William was present for the birth of his third child who has become fifth in line to the throne.
In a tweet, Kensington Palace says the new prince was delivered safely.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.
The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

The 36-year-old Duchess went into labour in the early hours of Monday morning and gave birth at 11.01am (local time).
As Queen Elizabeth’s sixth great-grandchild, he is fifth in line to the throne, behind his grandfather and current heir Prince Charles, father William and siblings Prince George, four, and two-year-old sister Prince Charlotte.
