A new e-scooter trial program will be rolled out around Brisbane’s suburbs from mid-November, according to Councillor Ryan Murphy.

The Brisbane Civic Cabinet Chair for Transport told Neil Breen that the upcoming trial program will aim to reduce the number of car trips, while increasing the use of public transport.

“One of the big barriers to people catching public transport in Brisbane specifically is our hot, humid, subtropical climate,” Councillor Murphy said.

The program will aim to ‘bridge the gap’ between public transport and people’s homes.
