The East Brisbane community has been let down after the fate of the State School was revealed today. 

It has been revealed today the East Brisbane State School will be relocated to make way for the Gabba redevelopment.

President of the P&C at East Brisbane State School, Austin Gibbs, told Peter Gleeson on 4BC Drive, “It’s certainly a sad day, and the anger and the sadness is palpable around the school.”

“So every bit of advice, and correspondence, and official government documents are saying we acknowledge that you really wanted to stay where you are, but bugger it we are going to move anyway…” Mr. Gibbs continued.
