Energy Minister defends Christian Porter against ‘truly outrageous’ comments
Industry Minister Christian Porter is under scrutiny after declaring he had received money from a blind trust to pay the $1 million in legal fees incurred in his defamation case against the ABC.
Mr Porter disclosed the payment but not the identity of the anonymous donors or the true sum, prompting the Prime Minister to ‘seriously’ investigate.
Energy Minister Angus Taylor defended his “good friend”, and the receiving of financial donations provided “due process” is followed.
“Christian is a good Minister.
“Some of the things that have been said about Christian Porter in recent months are truly outrageous and disgraceful.”
