Incoming St George Illawarra Coach Shane Flanagan has confirmed he’s currently in negotiations with South Sydney forward Hame Sele.

It comes after reports emerged earlier in The Telegraph on Saturday that Flanagan has offered Sele a multi-year deal from next season.

Flanagan, a member of The Continuous Call Team, said he’s one of a number players he’s met with.

“We’re in for Hame Sele the South Sydney front rower,” Flanagan said.

“We need to boost our middle forwards and I feel that he’s a good player, 26-years-old and was originally from the Dragons.

“We’re in negotiations with him and hopefully it all comes off.”

Flanno also provided updates on the futures of Ben Hunt and Jayden Sullivan, their pursuit of Luke Thompson and confirmed the immediate departure of Moses Mbye.
