Expert says time for Labor to ditch their ‘regressive’ franking credits policy
There are calls for the Labor Party to scrap their franking credits policy that some believe lost them the election.
Labor leader Anthony Albanese has recently indicated they will review their franking credits policy.
Wilson Asset Management Chairman Geoff Wilson tells Ross Greenwood the policy needs to go.
“You want a strong opposition to keep the government honest, and the quicker they leave this franking credit policy the better for everyone.
“What they were proposing was regressive.
“The franking system… It’s very pro-Australian, I think it’s a fantastic system and it shouldn’t be meddled with.”
