Experts say Australia has the ability to design world-leading technology for defence
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will inject $3.8 billion into a loan scheme to increase defence manufacturing and exports.
An example of a potential manufacturer who will aid from the funding is Thales Group, creators of the Bushmaster – a blast resistant deploy vehicle used by the Australian Army.
