More than 250,000 families will see the price of childcare slashed from today.

The federal government has lifted the Child Care Subsidy by 30 per cent for parents with multiple children in care.

The increase had been due to take effect from the first of July but has been brought forward by four months.

“If you’ve got more than one young child under five, you can benefit,” Assistant Minister to the Attorney General Amanda Stoker told Neil Breen.

“You don’t have to fill out any forms, it goes through straight away.”
