Flood closes highway in south west Queensland

One of south west Queensland’s main highways has been covered by floodwater, making it impossible for traffic to get through.
Listener Larry has sent in a photo of the flooded Warrego Highway, about 21km west of Mitchell.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 50mm of rain in Mitchell in the past 24 hours.
The rain is expected to ease later tonight.
