The Mitchelton Football Club has a hard road ahead after its fields and clubhouse were decimated by floodwater.

Club President Gary Price told Neil Breen the water has left a path of destruction across the club grounds.

“All of our other fields, there’s debris over them, there’s fences down, water went into the clubhouse so there’s mud all over the floor of the clubhouse and all sorts of stuff in there’s been damaged.

“I’ve lived around here for 70 years and we’ve been here for probably 40 years now and never, ever has the water gone where it is now.”
