Fossil fuels are ‘sorely misunderstood in Australia’, says energy chairman

An energy company chairman says more pipelines are needed, amid warnings Australia’s east coast could be facing a worsening gas crisis.
Blue Energy chairman John Ellice-Flint says the Queensland’s Bowen Basin could be a major contributor to the diminishing east coast gas supply.
Mr Ellice-Flint, former CEO of energy company Santos, tells Ross Greenwood the basin needs a better pipeline into the national grid.
“The importance in everyday life of fossil fuels is sorely misunderstood in Australia.”
