Fraser Island now officially known as K’Gari

The Queensland government has officially announced Fraser Island’s name change to the traditional Indigenous title, K’Gari.
Premier Anastacia Palaszczuk attended a ceremony on the island with the Butchulla Aboriginal Corporation to formally reinstate the name.
