‘Full steam ahead’ for NRL grand final at Suncorp Stadium
Suncorp Stadium management are forging ahead furiously preparing for the NRL grand final on Sunday.
The game is officially a sellout, with more than 52,000 people expected to pack into Suncorp to see the Rabbitohs and Panthers go head-to-head.
There are still fears south-east Queensland could be plunged into a lockdown, with emerging COVID-19 clusters.
Suncorp Stadium General Manager Alan Graham says they are “going full steam ahead”.
“We are still looking forward to presenting the game on Sunday.”
He said he knew that Country Bank Stadium was always a “contingency” plan from day one.
