A Gold Coast-based charity will attempt a Christmas-inspired Guinness World Record tomorrow for the longest line of gift wrapped presents.

Kids in Care provides presents for kids in residential care, who are waiting for foster parents.

Kids in Care was started as a way to support these children in transition to foster care or being put back into the care of their parents.

They are attempting to have the longest line of gift wrapped presents at the Upper Coomera Centre on Saturday morning.

“So everyone that comes down and drops a gift off between 9am-1pm that gift will be clear wrapped and then it will go in the line,” the organisation’s director Mel Bosenberg said.

“We need to have over 1000 gifts to qualify for the Guinness World Record!”

The presents will then be donated through the charity.

Anyone eager to get involved can drop off an unwrapped present for a child, tomorrow!

Most of the children are aged between 5-17.
