As the Royal Wedding draws closer, Chris Smith admits even he’s getting excited.

In two days time, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will wed but there’s one Aussie who’s struggling to come to terms with the nuptials.

Australian author Kathy Lette will be covering the wedding with Channel 7, but she’s still holding out hope the Prince will change his mind.

“I’ve been running around outside Windsor in my tiara hoping to get Harry’s attention to prove to him he’s making a mistake,” she tells Chris Smith.

“My family’s well behaved! They’re from the Shire!”

She says although most of us are happy for the couple, there are sure to be a few broken hearts on Saturday.

“Most women in the world will be sobbing into our cereal on Saturday morning that it wasn’t us!”

But Kathy’s dream isn’t too far-fetched. She reveals her run-in with the Prince that made him roar with laughter.
