‘He’s the best Rugby League player I’ve ever called’: Ray pays tribute to NRL great
Ray Hadley has paid tribute to rugby league great Johnathan Thurston as he prepares to play his final NRL game.
The four-time Dally M medalist will lace up his boots for the final time on Saturday afternoon when the Cowboys play the Titans on the Gold Coast.
Since making his debut in 2002, Thurston has won two Premierships, played 38 matches for Australia and 37 games for Queensland.
Ray is tipping his hat to the NRL legend ahead of his last game.
“He’s the best rugby league player I’ve ever called. Without a doubt, he is the best.
“I’ve called Johns, I’ve called Lewis, I’ve called all the great players over the last 35 years but he’s the best I’ve seen.”
