‘How could you stoop so low?’: Labor hopeful presses on with ‘scare’ tactic
Neil Breen has called out a Labor candidate persisting with a widely panned cashless welfare card ‘scare campaign’.
Longman candidate Rebecca Fanning has made multiple posts on her social media pages claiming the LNP plans to make a cashless card universal for everyone receiving welfare payments.
It’s a claim the both the Prime Minister and Social Services Minister has denied.
Neil said claims like this mean Ms Fanning is building her campaign on “scaring the daylights” out of potential voters.
“How could you stoop so low?” he asked. “Honestly Rebecca Fanning, if you want to win, win by right.
“Win it with some dignity and represent the people of your seat properly if you’re in power.
“At the moment, all you’re doing is scaring the very people you say you hold dear to your heart.”
