How playing ‘Gel Ball’ can give back to a national veteran charity
Students aren’t back in the classroom until February 7, providing a perfect chance for your kids to join in ‘Gel Ball.’
But what is ‘Gel Ball’? Wounded Heroes President Martin Shaw told Scott Emerson on 4BC Drive about the action-packed experience.
“It’s like a version of paintball. It just doesn’t hurt as much,” he said.
Made up of 97 per cent water, Gel Balls are used for an outdoor skirmish using Gel Blasters.
Martin Shaw told 4BC that Wounded Heroes will be raising funds for homeless veterans through the holiday event.
“We looked after just over 1800 homeless veterans around Australia in 2021, so (it’s) another initiative to fundraise,” he told Scott Emerson.
Located in Wacol and only 25 minutes from Brisbane, the sport involves 40 by 40-metre mazes, four sections and eight-metre high walls.
