How the government should deal with drought: Pauline Hanson and Bob Katter
As they tour around regional Australia on a ‘drought tour’, Pauline Hanson and Bob Katter say they know exactly what the government has to do to help our farmers.
The two passionate Queensland politicians have joined forces to tour drought-stricken regions, talking to farmers about how the government can help.
When asked by Luke Grant what the government should do to address the drought, both had clear visions about what is required.
“Out here in this area of Charleville, they need to put up eradicating fencing,” says Pauline Hanson. “That means to stop the dogs that are destroying the sheep.”
“And the family farm assistance program needs to go beyond the drought.”
Bob Katter has another idea he’s confident will help our farmers.
“The government is borrowing money at 1.5 per cent, there’s absolutely no reason in the world why they shouldn’t loan that out to the farmers. Take the bank away.”
