How you can be among the first to witness Allan Border immortalised in bronze
Allan Border has been immortalised in bronze, with his statue set to be unveiled this afternoon.
The former international cricketer’s likeness will stand in Woolloongabba Place Park, outside the Gabba.
Queensland Cricketers Club President David Cook told Peter Psaltis the public is welcome to attend the unveiling, which will kick off from 4.30pm today.
“It certainly is open for anyone who’s got an interest and most people certainly do have a great deal of affection for AB and his exploits through his career.
“They’re very welcome to come and watch the reveal of what we put together.”
