‘I don’t want these people coming back’: Foreign fighters stripped of Australian citizenship
Five people who travelled to the Middle East to join Islamic State have been stripped of their Australian citizenship.
News Corp revealed the dual citizens have been targeted in a process involving high-level intelligence.
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton tells Ray Hadley the investigation demonstrated they had allegiance to extremists.
“It’s a good outcome because I don’t want these people coming back.
“I want them to stay as far away from our shores as possible.
“As we’ve noted before, a number of them have been killed in action in the Middle East. That’s a great outcome.”
