Iconic Aussie sweet returns to Australian hands
Life Savers, first released in 1912, are back in Aussie hands after confectionary company Darrell Lea agreed to buy the brand from Swiss giant Nestlé.
Over 20 million packs of Life Savers are still sold every year and now the confectionary will be made on Australian shores.
Darrell Lea CEO Tim York tells Warren Moore the mint variety are popular but they aren’t the crowd favourite.
“I think the fruit pastilles is. But there’s about five different variants still.”
Tim says they even have a few changes in store that could make the Life Savers better than ever before.
“It’s hard to stop once you eat one, Warren!”
