It’s been a record-breaking period of rain for us in the south-east, but our weather guru says we’ll get some reprieve.

While the rain is still sprinkling in the CBD this morning, sunshine could break through the clouds as soon as this afternoon.

“We will see sunshine for the CBD and north, up toward the Sunshine Coast later today,” Justin Noonan told Neil Breen.

“As we move into Friday, Breenie, temperatures will warm up to around 30 degrees and we will see sunshine.

“It’ll probably be the best day we’ve seen in a number of weeks, and potentially the best day we’ll see for a few days after that.”
