Independent testing reveals Peter Bol did not use banned substance
The lawyer for Peter Bol says two independent laboratories have cleared the runner’s of ever using synthetic EPO.
The three-time champion is still under investigation by Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) after his B sample returned neither a positive or negative result.
Two independent tests indicate both Bol’s A sample and B sample should have been deemed negative.
Bol’s US-based lawyer Paul Greene delivered a letter to SIA last week, insisting the body was “completely wrong” and its investigation must “publicly end”.
Sydney Morning Herald chief sports writer Andrew Webster told Neil Breen there’s been no comment from SIA on the matter.
“They were contacted numerous times in the last couple of days,” he said. “We even went to Anika Wells, the federal Sports Minister and no, no comment.”
“No one’s saying a word, would you believe, which I think is pretty poor.”
