International markets in the sights of Queensland’s tourism campaign
The Queensland government has announced a multi-million dollar campaign to boost tourism across the state.
The Great Queensland Getaway launches this Sunday with special deals and flights to entice tourists.
On February 21, Australia will re-open to the rest of the world, where fully vaccinated travellers can travel without having to quarantine.
Tourism Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said the “good to go” message will be broadcast internationally.
“With the international border opening in just over a week, Queensland is about to target Singapore, and the UK with that ‘good to go’ campaign,” he told Sofie Formica.
“And we will be ready for rolling that out to further destinations, further markets as well.”
He said they want to build the appetite for tourists to come back to Queensland.
