The Shadow Minister for Racing says many aspects of the Queensland racing industry need “sorting out”.

Two weeks ago harness racing driver Gary Whitaker and his family were involved in a horrific accident involving a mobile barrier that didn’t meet safety standards.

John-Paul Langbroek says those who break the rules need to be properly disciplined.

“You’ve got to sort out issues of integrity.

“There’s nothing more important if we want to get punters still involved in the sport to be confident that what they’re betting on is straight up.”
