Since 2011, residents of Ipswich have been experiencing unbearable odours that have been making them physically ill, but today there has been an update.

The Chief Health Officer, Dr. John Gerrard, provided an official update on the health risk the New Chum waste site poses to residents living nearby.

Teresa Harding, Mayor of Ipswich City Council told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “I was very disappointed…to hear what he said was very disappointing, we need a public health inquiry for the waste odours that have been impacting residents here for over a decade.”
