Karl Stefanovic has chosen to sit out on campaigning for a second Gold Logie this year. 

The Today host is up for the gong again this year alongside Lego Masters host Hamish Blake.

But Stefanovic told Sofie Formica there will be no star-studded campaign like we saw in 2011.

“What happens when you’ve won one is you give absolutely no thought to giving any attention to the campaign that’s going to transpire as a result of getting nominated,” he said.

“It’s not that I don’t care, it’s just that I really, really don’t want to go through all the work involved in sucking up to all these guys who live and work overseas.

“And then they say, ‘Oh, you’re just going to get drunk again, Karlos’, it’s not true!

“I’m never getting- yes, well, actually, that part of it’s true… I probably will…”
