‘It’s time to change’: Steve Waugh’s message to Cricket Australia
Former Test captain Steve Waugh is hopeful Australian cricket can start to rebuild after the recent upheaval.
The search is on for a long-term replacement after the resignation of Chairman David Peever.
Former deputy chair Earl Eddings has been appointed in the interim.
Waugh tells Alan Jones it’s the first step in the right direction.
“It’s exposed some weaknesses definitely in the relationship and it’s got to get better.
“It’s time to change and that seems to be happening.
“We’ve just got to get the right people in the right positions.”

Steve Waugh is in the middle of his annual Captain’s Ride, raising money to fight rare childhood diseases.
The team of riders, including AFL star Adam Goodes and Olympic gold medallist Steve Hooker and former Socceroo and Liverpool player Craig Johnston are riding 800km from Healesville to Albury.
The brutal challenge raises an enormous amount of money and awareness for those in need.
