Former world-number-one golfer Jason Day is back in his home country competing at the Australian Open.

He spoke with 4BC’s Alan Jones ahead of Round One.

“There’s nothing like playing in front of a home crowd.”

“Regardless of what tour you’re on or where you play, there’s always going to be a handful of guys who are going to play really well. You have to be mentally and physically prepared.”

The Australian Open kicks off today at the Australian Golf Club and will conclude on Sunday.
