Aussie golfer Jason Day has won the Wells Fargo Championship on the PGA Tour.

The 30-year-old finished at 12 under par for the tournament, two shots clear of Americans Aaron Wise and Nick Watney.

The victory at Quail Hollow is the 12th of Jason Day’s PGA career and second for the season.

He takes home US$1,386,000 and will jump from his current ranking of world-number-14.
