Jeff Horn’s promoter labels US boxing superstar “soft”
Jeff Horn’s promoter has labelled American boxing superstar Terence Crawford “soft” for delaying next month’s world title fight.
The Aussie was fine-tuning his training for the big-money bout in Las Vegas when his American opponent withdrew with a hand injury.
Horn’s promoter Dean Lonergan tells Steve Price the fight will still go ahead but says it’s disappointing.
“It’s going to be delayed by four weeks to eight weeks. We’re still going to have the fight in Vegas.
“We’re disappointed it’s delayed because Jeff is looking amazing, it’s probably the fittest he’s ever been.
“We just think Crawford’s a bit soft to be bluntly honest because the sort of injury he’s got we know that Jeff would have just taken a couple of shots to the hand and maybe cortisone and just got on with it.
“We’re surprised that Crawford’s not coming across quite as tough as they like to make out, but there’s no doubt he’s technically a wonderful boxer.
