Karl Stefanovic has come out in defence of his good friend Erin Molan who has been criticised relentlessly online.

The prominent Macquarie Radio and Channel Nine host has recently been the subject of vile online abuse.

But Karl says none of it is warranted.

“They are gutless keyboard warriors.

“I’ve got no idea why Erin Molan is in the headlines at the moment. It’s beyond me.

“Erin Molan is one of the nicest, most hardworking, most professional people you are ever going to meet.

“A woman we are all proud to call a friend.”
